About Us:
Animal Medical Center (AMC) is the oldest veterinary clinic in Hattiesburg, serving the community since the 1950’s! AMC has provided extended weekday emergency hours and 24-hour weekend care for over 22 years! With a team of 11 veterinarians, Animal Medical Center has the staff and facilities to provide everything from routine exams to intricate surgeries. Our center has capabilities such as ultrasound, CT, digital radiographs, surgical laser, oxygen cages, ventilators, a full diagnostic laboratory, and more. We offer services from preventative and maintenance care to special services like ICU care, laparoscopic, neurologic, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and oncological surgeries.

About You:
Veterinary Assistants
play an integral part with patient care in our hospital whether they are disinfecting hospitalized patient kennels, taking care of clients, assisting the night shift and treatment technicians with patient orders, and providing quality nursing care to hospitalized patients. You will fully utilize your skillset and continue to develop your knowledge for years to come! We are looking for a compassionate veterinary assistant who is ready to put their skills and leadership ability to work! 
 
You are an experienced veterinary assistant with a minimum of 1 year veterinary experience (emergency experience is a plus).

Anticipated Schedule:
Animal Medical Center is open Monday thru Friday 7:30 am – 8:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm.  Emergencies are seen 24 hours Saturday and Sunday, with veterinary assistants staffed between 4am-midnight. 
         
 Shifts include 4 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - midnight.  Weekends and holidays are included.

Compensation: We believe that each team member should be compensated considering their knowledge, skills, and experiences. We expect the range for an experienced veterinary assistant to be $11.50 - 13.00 per hour.

Compensación: $11.50 - $13.00 per hour
